Healthy Schools

As part of our healthy school, we promote healthy eating by pupils during the school day. A healthy diet in school helps children to avoid developing problems with obesity, tooth decay and diabetes as well as introducing a sensible, balanced, approach to food.

The following pages provide guidelines for healthy eating in school.

Information on Flu for Parents

Every year the Public Health Agency updates information on flu for schools and parents.  The only major change this year is that most-at-risk children from 2 – 17 years old will be offered the new nasal spray vaccine instead of the injection.  Flu normally increases at some stage between December and March.  It is impossible to predict how serious flu will be, but it is always important to be prepared.  Some information is attached for your information or alternatively you can visit www.fluawareni.net.
