All parents of children at Rowandale IPS are encouraged to become involved in the Parents Council. We play a vital role in the school.
Last year, we were involved in the development of our RE, Child Protection, Pastoral Care and Healthy Breaks policies. Having enjoyed organising a barbeque on the school sports day, we also worked in partnership with the Board of Governors to host the school’s annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic event.
We were delighted to be able to take part in a workshop exploring ‘Integration’ that was hosted at the school by the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education (NICIE).
So far this year, we have started organising ‘Ways to school’ and have a commenced a programme of fundraising for the school.
